A mobile tech outreach program that introduces children in electricity-deprived, remote villages to technology, AI, and digital literacy—sparked by our founder’s personal journey from disconnection to digital innovation.
In many parts of rural Ghana, electricity and cell service are still a dream. Our founder knows this reality all too well — he grew up in a cottage where there was no power, no internet, and no exposure to the digital world. He and his siblings, like many other children from nearby villages, would walk for hours just to attend school in the nearest town.
One day, during a postnatal visit by community health workers, he saw something that changed his life: a laptop. One of the workers let him touch it and play a simple game. That moment sparked a fire in him — a glimpse into a world he had never imagined. Even though he didn’t have access to a computer for another four years, the seed of curiosity had been planted. He held on to that hope, taught himself how to code, and dedicated his life to solving problems through technology.
Today, through The Pattern Project, he’s making sure other children like him don’t have to wait for chance encounters.
The Unconnected is our rural tech outreach program designed to bring digital exposure, hands-on STEM learning, and future-forward thinking to children in the most underserved areas — those who are “unconnected” by infrastructure but full of potential.
We introduce them to:
Basic computing and internet literacy
Coding and problem-solving workshops
Creative digital skills like animation and storytelling
Emerging tech awareness (AI, robotics, etc.)
Mentorship, community, and hope
We’re not just teaching tech — we’re planting purpose.
These children are growing into a world powered by technology, whether they have access to it or not. Our goal is to ensure they’re not left behind. Exposure breeds possibility, and possibility breeds change.
With your support, we can:
Deploy mobile learning labs and solar-powered tech setups
Train local facilitators to deliver ongoing tech education
Provide follow-up learning resources and mentorship
Reach 10 new rural communities each year
Let’s connect the unconnected — not just to the internet, but to a future they can shape for themselves.
